Bhagvatam Time:

Tale: The Teachings Of Sanatkumaras:

One day King Prithu asked the Sanatkumaras to tell him how one can be saved from the world with ease. The Sanatkumaras replied by comparing world to an ocean which is filled with 6 ferocious sharks. To cross the ocean which is filled with the 6 sharks of mind and senses are very difficult. But if we accept the Lord as our ferryman, He will take our boat across the ocean with perfect ease.

The six ferocious sharks of our mind are:
  1. Lust: Lust means desires, craving, yearning for. When we are obsessed, we become greedy and we do not even want to share with anyone.
  2. Anger: When we don't get what we want we get angry and when we get angry, we say and do things that we are not supposed to do.
  3. Greed: Greed means being stingy and greedy.
  4. Pride:
  5. Delusion: Delusion is not seeing the things the way they are. Seeing post as a ghost.
  6. Jealousy:
We talked in detail in class with interesting stories to make them understand the meaning

We concluded with arati and pledge in class.

Note: Kids are supposed to bring their "My Prayers" book and their Gita Chanting handouts every week for their balvihar classes. They are supposed to bring in a note book and pencil for their likhita japa. For the Gita Chanting please do practice at home too. You can log on to Chinmayavrindavan.org.
